BAY-876 is a glucose transporter protein 1 (GLUT1) inhibitor (IC50=2 nM) with oral activity and selectivity. BAY-876 is more than 100-fold more selective for GLUT1 than GLUT2, GLUT3, and GLUT4. BAY-876 inhibits glycolytic metabolism and exhibits antitumor activity.
